The Challenge
To reach a new demographic, accomdate different size groups and ensure a high ROI within an existing restaurant space in the club. The brief required the existing flooring, ceiling, walls and bar to remain.
Our Approach
A cocktail lounge designed to appeal to clientele for pre/ post dinner drinks. With a moody ambience the space includes luxurious banquettes and lounge seating, a custom wine display positioned to draw customers in, and a bar dressed in fluted stone and ribbed glass, the hero in the space.
By integrating banquette seating and square table configurations to accommodate different group sizes, the space becomes flexible for various group sizes enabling maximum capacity at all times. Recognising the presence of the kitchen in the background, a wine display was integrated to define the cocktail lounge space. Custom pendants and lighting in the banquettes allows toe space to be moody and light only the areas where customers are engaging. LED lighting is incorporated thoughout all joinery kickplates.
The redesigned space references the existing color palette of the adjacent restaurant while bringing in a decadent and luxurious palette that creates a moody atmosphere thus reaching a new demographic.

A long term consultant to Wests Ashfield Leagues Club, X+O has successfully delivered multiple projects across the club including design, coordination, collaboration, FFE and project management of area including; The Garden F+B precinct (a collaboration), Design and Project Management of the new Sports Lounge, Reception, Function Room, multiple Cafes, Gaming and Bathrooms. X+O managed the consultants, and budgets- which involved multiple millions of dollars across the entire portfolio of works. The various areas appeal to different members and guests and the nuances of each of these individuals was met in each space.
